Autumn Covid vaccination boosters for organisations providing frontline health & social care support

staff & volunteers that received early jabs previously are eligible again

If your staff and volunteers had their original Covid jabs early because they were providing frontline support for vulnerable people during lockdown, they will now be eligible for a booster jab under the same rules.

This in addition to the priority groups:

  • all adults aged 50+
  • people aged 5-49 in a clinical risk group or in a household with people with immunosuppression
  • unpaid carers (aged 16-49)
  • residents in care homes for older people and the staff who work with them. (Anyone working a care home will be offered a jab when the vaccination team visits to vaccinate the residents)

Eligible staff and volunteers from any local charity, commmunity or voluntary group or social enterprise can:

  • use the National Booking System or phone 119 to book at any vaccination site in Kirklees or neighbouring areas
  • wait to be contacted by their GP practice to be offered an appointment at their surgery or a Primary Care Network vaccination site

Like last time, staff and volunteers will need to take an ID badge or letter confirming that they work for an eligible provider.
