Many businesses offer their employees an opportunity to volunteer in work time.
This is sometimes known as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Social Value or Employer Supported Volunteering. Volunteering individually or as a team can be a great way to support your local community and give your employees a rewarding and fulfilling experience. Many businesses share their time and skills with a charity through a team away day or team building experience with colleagues.

Woodlanders - Team volunteering as a Business/Organisation
The Friends of Beaumont Park work in cooperation with Kirklees Council to continue to improve Beaumont Park and its facilities. The Friends, are made up of about 300 members who elect Directors/Trustees each year to administer the charity.
The Woodlanders group are part of the Friends of Beaumont Park in Huddersfield. They work closely with the Park keeper to manage the park’s woodland during the winter months. Teams of volunteers can join them from September to March on heavy duty gardening in the lovely park with tasks such as the cutting back of shrubs. They are open to teams joining them for a week day activity. Tools and biscuits are provided!
