About the Organisation:
The Co-operative Care Colne Valley (CCCV) wants to reinvent how we support people in their own homes. We are a non-profit-making organisation that is committed to harnessing the power of communities to enhance people’s experience of support at home.
Alongside meeting assessed needs we will link people into their communities to provide a wrap round level of support that means that people are able to live a good life while accessing adult social care. As a CQC registered services we will offer a high quality flexible service to people and their families across the Colne Valley.
At the heart of the Co-operative is a strategy of recruiting and retaining a team of highly skilled and committed carers. Our pledge to our staff will be central to everything we do. We expect flexibility and commitment and will offer in return excellent terms, conditions and support.
Fundamental to the Co-operatives operating principles is a drive to create a service that is environmentally sustainable, and we will seek out new and creative ways to reduce our impact on the environment.
We are looking for someone to support the CCCV board, the Nominated Individual and the Registered Manager to set up and sustain a business that demonstrates a commitment to the principles outlined above. We recognise the need to be financially sustainable and all staff members will be members of the CCCV with an interest in the success of the enterprise.
We will be developing a community operations strand to our service which you will lead on. You will be responsible for managing, coordinating, supervising and training a group of volunteers.
You may have a broad range of experience and may come from the care sector or have a business or administrative background. You will need to have an understanding of registered services and have a passion for people. You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to our principles but be able to translate these into sound sustainable business practices.
We want to work with someone who has good literacy and numeracy skills but just as important is the ability to be a team player and a leader.
It is important that you are able to demonstrate the ability to communicate with a broad range of people collaboratively but to effectively challenge where this promotes the principles of the co-op.
