TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

Join us at one of our upcoming community gardening days and give the Oakwell Hall Team a helping hand to look after this special place. All are welcome – call into the Walled Garden and find the team, stay as long as you feel. Sensible shoes are essential, tools will be provided.

The walled garden is situated behind the hall and the nearest car park is Nutter Lane, Birstall, WF17 9LG.

Many businesses offer their employees an opportunity to volunteer in work time. This is known as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or Employer Supported Volunteering and it can include fundraising for a group, or even sharing expertise and resources as well as volunteering.
