Royal Voluntary Service is a national charity built on local volunteering, giving support to people in need in NHS hospitals and communities.
Do you like helping your community, being part of a team or enjoy learning new skills?
Our volunteers support in a wide variety of roles, from offering telephone support to those who need a friendly chat to helping out in our hospital shops and cafés. Opportunities are usually flexible, no experience is needed and full training is provided.
Our current volunteer roles in Kirklees include:
- Dementia Support Volunteer at Batley Community Centre - Tuesdays 1.00pm - 4.00pm (suitable for ages 18+)
- Dementia Volunteer at Whitley Community Centre - Tuesdays 10.00am - 1.00pm (suitable for ages 18+)
- Dementia Support Volunteer at Cleckheaton Library - Mondays 10.00am - 1.00pm (suitable for ages 18+)
- Home Library Service Support Volunteer at Cleckheaton Library - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning (suitable for ages 16+)
- Community Club Volunteer in Huddersfield - Tuesdays 12.00pm - 3.30pm (suitable for ages 16+)
Whether you have just a few hours a week or more, your support will make a real difference. Even a little help can achieve a lot and make a huge difference to someone’s life.
