About the Organisation

Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire are a charity providing respite support to unpaid Carers; providing a regular break each week by stepping in to take care of their loved one for a few hours enabling the Carer to have some rest and relaxation of their choice.  The organisation supports the communities of Kirklees, Wakefield, Leeds and Calderdale with our office based in Huddersfield.  The organisation is a charity of significant size with around 120 employees.

Role Description

Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire are a charity providing respite support to unpaid Carers; providing a regular break each week by stepping in to take care of their loved one for a few hours enabling the Carer to have some rest and relaxation of their choice.  The organisation supports the communities of Kirklees, Wakefield, Leeds and Calderdale with our office based in Huddersfield.  The organisation is a charity of significant size with around 120 employees and holds a CQC rating of Good (January 2019).

Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire are now seeking new members for our Board of Trustees.  With a proven track record, you will be a strategic thinker, with the time and skills to commit to this important role.  The role is very much strategic, rather than operational.

We welcome applications from anyone with the empathy and inspiration to give their time to Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire.

Time commitment is approximately 5-10 hours per month engaging in a range of activities including bi-monthly Board meetings.
