IASK gives practical help by providing asylum case work, welfare support, advocacy, signposting, referrals to other organisations, enrichment activities, social networking support and campaigning on asylum related issues. Staff and volunteers give advice and practical support to help asylum seekers and refugees overcome the hurdles to survival in what is a new and sometimes a very challenging environment.
IASK is a small charity in Kirklees, supporting people seeking asylum and refugees. We are looking for trustees preferably with immigration law experience but we’d be interested to hear from anyone who would like to support our work, so please get in touch if you could share your experience with us.
We are looking for someone who can attend the full trustee meetings (every 10 weeks or so) and support our work and if you would like to do even more, there’s plenty of scope!
We hope you feel encouraged to apply.
