Third Sector Leaders Kirklees is a small local charity that supports any not-for-profit organisation across Kirklees. Part of our role is to promote the opportunity to become a Charity Trustees. Trustees play a crucial role by giving their time to make important decisions and lead the direction of the charity.
What is a Trustee?
Charity trustees are the group of people with overall responsibility for a charity. They make key decisions about the direction the charity will take and how its purposes will be carried out. They also make sure that the charity has the resources and policies it needs to do this well and to comply with legal requirements.
You will be expected to attend regular meetings usually quarterly or bi-monthly and you may then have a key area you are focussing on such as finance, HR, Marketing, Health and Safety etc.
