HBC Construction help volunteer groups get geared up!
A huge thanks to HBC Construction who have kindly donated Litter Pickers, Gardening Gloves and High-Vis Waistcoats to a range of volunteer-run groups in Kirklees. The equipment will help the groups stay safe whilst they are litter picking, gardening and taking care of green spaces, community gardens and local neighbourhoods. The donations was part of HBC Construction’s Social Value commitment and was co-ordinated by TSL Kirklees.
Becky Bracey, Head of Volunteer and Membership Services at TSL Kirklees commented:
“We are always grateful when local businesses or contractors delivering work in the local area are able to support the community. Volunteer-run groups often struggle to fund the cost of PPE and this donation has provided a great boost. We were delighted to support HBC Construction by taking delivery of the donation and then distributing the equipment to the groups.”

Groups from across Kirklees received the equipment, including: Howden Clough Community Centre, Brockholes Green Spaces, The Friends of Norman Park, Windybank Community Centre and Ravensthorpe Residents Association.
