Is your organisation thinking about or already working on saving energy?
Energy Neighbours is starting a new network for Community Organisations Making Energy Transitions or COMET for short. By community organisation we mean any community group, charity, Social enterprise, faith or cultural organisation or community business that would like to start or has already started reducing their energy use or is considering sustainability. This includes those who own or are running buildings and those who aren’t.
One of the benefits of joining the COMET network could be support to develop a tailored plan for your organisation, to reduce energy use and reach levels of achievement on the plan. For example:
Level 1 – Joining the network and understand your energy footprint
Level 2 – Develop your energy plan
Level 3 – Take action to reduce your energy use by acting on your plan
Having an energy reduction or sustainability plan could help to reduce running costs, show your commitment to reducing energy use, inform a longer-term energy & carbon strategy and create strong positioning for future funding.
We have a few other ideas of what the COMET network might offer and what you might get if you join, but we would also like you to have an input on what offer might be. You can do this by completing our COMET network survey here or scan the QR code below.
