About Kirklees Better Outcomes Partnership (KBOP)
KBOP is a mission driven social enterprise working with a partnership of expert delivery organisation to provide strengths focused floating support to vulnerable people across Kirklees. Our innovative model and commitment to working with an asset-based approach, focusing on people’s strengths and aspirations, means we enable people to secure accommodation and to give them the skills required to sustain these tenancies independently over time. To ensure long term independence we seek to understand individuals’ goals, ambitions and aspirations and support pathways to employment, training and education.
The project is a “Social outcomes partnership” focusing on impact and enabling people to achieve positive improvements in their lives relating to accommodation, education, employment and wellbeing. This model allows flexibility in how the service is delivered with a focus on personalisation and evolving the service delivery model over time to best enable the people we support. The role of KBOP is to drive continuous improvement across the service, set the strategy for the programme, and manage key stakeholder relationships, including with Kirklees Council, the service commissioner.
About the role
The role will be part of our KBOP programme, working across Kirklees to prevent homelessness and support independence for people across Kirklees. The purpose of this role is to enable access to homes for the individuals we support by increasing access to high-quality private rented sector accommodation. Improving independence opportunities for participants to secure suitable and sustainable housing.
You will be proactive and responsive, working across Kirklees to build and maintain strong relationships with private landlords. Acting as a point of support for all parties, problem solving any challenges identified in a collaborative and relational way. Improving access to accommodation for frontline delivery teams and the people they work alongside. Working closely with teams to understand where there are gaps in accessing homes and supporting them by identifying new locations, landlords and properties to meet the needs of each individual we support.
You will also work collaboratively with colleagues across KBOP and KDASS and related programmes, to share expertise, learning and best practice, helping to strengthen housing pathways and maximise impact across the wider partnership.
This role plays an important part in ensuring housing pathways are aligned with our strengths-based approach — supporting people to move into accommodation that reflects their aspirations, promotes independence, and contributes to long-term stability.
