Smart Energy - Frontline Worker Workshops with Energy Neighbours

The Energy Neighbours team have developed some free energy-smart workshops frontline worker workshops. Bills are due to rise in October when the energy price cap changes and these workshops are designed to help frontline workers help service users to save energy in the home, outside of traditional bill and debt advice.

The four workshops have been designed to help residents save energy, cut bills and have warmer, more comfortable homes. Each workshop lasts ninety minutes. We’ll help residents get to grips with the key ideas and facts before helping them learn and plan simple, practical actions that can make a real difference.

Here’s the workshop offer:

Workshop 1: Tackling damp, condensation and mould

Workshop 2:  Quick fixes for cutting heat loss in your home

Workshop 3: Making the most of your heating system (combi-boiler)

Workshop 4: How much does it actually cost to run that appliances

For VCSE organisations with frontline workers, we are offering a free training day covering all four workshops. We hope this training will give frontline workers good energy literacy when energy issues come up in their case work or community engagement work (and some tips for their own energy use!)

We are currently offering a choice of two dates: Brian Jackson House Huddersfield on Tuesday 29th September and Dewsbury Minster on Wednesday 21st October. Each day runs from 09.30 to 14.30. Lunch will be provided. More dates will be planned if there is sufficient interest.
