Forte Charitable Foundation

Overview: Grants are available from the Forte Charitable Foundation for small and medium sized local charities and not-for-profit organisations with a track record of success working to address local issues in communities of extreme urban deprivation or deprived rural areas.

Value notes:

    • Small Grants (£2,000–£10,000), 1 year only (renewable up to 3 years), applicant income must be under £250,000.
    • Major Grants (£10,000–£50,000, up to £100,000 over 3 years), applicant income must be under £500k

Purpose of the fund: Supports organisations that:

      • Strengthen local communities and build connection.
      • Address causes of deprivation.
      • Create opportunities for disadvantaged individuals.
      • Champion small/medium grassroots charities with frontline impact.

Eligibility: Organisations must be:

    • Working in eligible deprived locations, defined by Index of Multiple Deprivation:
    • Urban: within most deprived 15%.
    • Rural: within most deprived 50%.

      • Community services (advice, transport, employability, volunteering)
      • Community centres and village halls
      • Alternative education
      • Youth clubs, NEET programmes
      • Counselling
      • Family support & early intervention
      • Substance misuse recovery
    • Major Grants – Family Support
      • Early intervention
      • Parental conflict, parenting programmes
      • Perinatal mental health
      • Family relationships and lone parents
      • Families affected by addiction
      • Prisoners’ families
