Summary: Unrestricted grants are available for small, grassroots charities, community interest communities (CICs), and voluntary and community groups across England to deliver vital services that benefit their local communities. The fund is administered by Groundwork on behalf of the Postcode Local Trust, Postcode Places Trust and Postcode Society Trust.

Eligibility: Open to small voluntary and community organisations and charities with an annual income below £25,000. Eligible CICs must have been operating for at least two years and have an asset lock.

  • Increasing access to green spaces and the outdoors
  • Enabling participation in the arts
  • Priority is given to organisations working in areas within the 15% most deprived communities in England and those supporting vulnerable or marginalised groups.

Typical activities supported: Access to food and essentials, wellbeing activities, community support, environmental improvements, volunteering opportunities and organisational capacity building.
