Lloyds Bank Foundation – Good Place to Live: New Beginnings Fund

Summary: Funding is available to registered charities, charitable incorporated organisations and community interest companies in providing services that help prevent homelessness among people facing key life transitions. Aims to prevent homelessness before it reaches crisis point and reduce the need for emergency intervention.

Value notes:

    • Total programme value: £8 million.
    • Expected to support 40–50 organisations.
    • Two grant levels:
      • £100,000 over four years (£25,000 per year) for organisations with annual income below £100,000.
      • £200,000 over four years (£50,000 per year) for organisations with annual income between £100,000 and £2 million.

Priority Groups: Funding is targeted at organisations supporting:

    • People leaving prison.
    • Young adults leaving the care system.
    • Survivors of domestic abuse leaving abusive relationships.
    • People leaving the asylum system after being granted the right to remain in the UK.

What the Funding Can Support:

    • Unrestricted, holistic and person-centred support services.
    • Activities that help people before, during and after major life transitions.
    • Support relating to housing, welfare, immigration, health and other practical needs that reduce the risk of homelessness.
