Parkinson’s UK Physical Activity Grants Programme
Overview: Grants are available for activity providers, communities, networks and organisations to develop new opportunities for people with Parkinson’s to become and stay active or help increase their levels of physical activity.
Deadline: Applications will be accepted until all of the funding has been allocated.
Value: £500–£3,000 per project
Programme Priorities (2026):

- Activities that build confidence and encourage sustained physical activity
- Engaging those who are currently inactive
- Expansion to include ‘Gateway Activities’ that encourage movement through creative means (e.g., theatre, music, large instruments, gardening)
Projects must:

- Be new
- Run 12–52 weeks
- Start within 12 weeks of receiving the grant
- Offer 12 consecutive weeks of opportunity to each participant
Activities may include:

- New physical activity provision
- Equipment purchases (up to £750)
- Facility hire
- Instructor/coach fees
- Volunteer coaching qualifications (up to £300)
Target audiences include:

- Inactive people
- Newly diagnosed
- Young‑onset Parkinson’s
- Under‑represented groups (isolated, non-digital, ethnic communities)
- Marginalised/protected characteristic groups
- Those not engaged with Parkinson’s UK
- People still working
