TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

Our volunteers help deliver practical, reliable services that make a real difference to older people’s everyday lives — while giving families the reassurance that their loved ones are well supported.
What you could be doing
We offer a wide and varied range of volunteer roles, so there’s something to suit your interests, skills, and availability. You could be:
- Gardening or helping people enjoy their outdoor spaces
- Singing, playing music, or supporting creative activities
- Getting involved in arts and crafts sessions
- Driving to help people get to appointments or activities
- Offering companionship as a befriender
- Supporting people with technology as a Digital Champion
- Or using your own skills and interests in other creative and practical ways
