- Batley and Spen
- Wednesday Daytime
we are a food bank in Cleckheaton. We cover BD19, BD12 (if address is in Kirklees), WF15, WF16. We provide emergency, short term food and deliver to clients' homes. We are entirely volunteer run.
We are looking for a special person to become a team leader for our Wednesday team which runs food bank sessions from about 12:30 until 2 pm each week.
You will lead a small team of volunteers who pack parcels and deliver them to our beneficiaries at their homes. You will be responsible for liaising with our client contact team, compiling a list of the day’s deliveries, opening up the food bank, organising and supervising the team and dealing with any issues or queries that arise during the session. The role involves some computer work, for which training will be given but it would best suit someone who has a basic understanding of how to use IT packages, particularly Excel. It would also be very helpful if you live quite locally to Cleckheaton or Heckmondwike.
If you are able to make decisions sometimes under a bit of pressure, and able to lead a small team but also work collaboratively with other team leaders and key people in the organisation then please get in touch for more information and an informal interview.
Complete your details below and Dilys, the volunteer coordinator will be in touch!
