Lantern Parade: Stall Holders Required for World Mental Health Day Parade on 6th October
Are you a mental health charity or community group interested in attending and having a stall?
CLEAR service has teamed up with Kirklees Council and some of the other Working Together Better partners to host a community Lantern Parade Celebration at Crow Nest Park, Dewsbury in honour of World Mental Health Day 2021 on Wednesday 6th October.
If you are a local mental health service or third sector charity based within Kirklees and would like to hold a promotional stall or provide an activity during at the first hour of the event (between 5-6pm), please get in touch to chat through in more detail asap.
We encourage people to bring along their own handheld lanterns or ‘lights/ torches’ for the parade around the park but ask that you please do not use the kind of lanterns that float up off into the sky, we are mindful of the environmental impact that these can have and want the event to be a safe space that all can enjoy.
General information, please note:
The event will last for 2.5 hours and is all based outside. There are accessible walking paths around Crows Nest Park. We have completed a full risk assessment for the event and are following national guidance in terms of Covid restrictions and managing risk – we encourage the use of face masks and recommend you try to maintain social distancing, though these are currently recommendations and not mandatory requirements.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide any food during the event and the toilets in the park will be closed during the event time. If you wish to bring your own food/drink this is fine. Please use the public bins to dispose of any litter afterwards.
The event will take place whatever the weather.
Any questions please get in touch with abi.macdonald@commlinks.co.uk
