An Invitation to Kirklees Youth Summit
Mel Meggs, new Director for Children’s Services for Kirklees Council invites you to attend a Youth Summit on Friday 24th May 2019. The event will be held at Cathedral House, St Thomas’ Road, Huddersfield HD1 3LG. Time: 9am for 9.30 start – 3pm finish.
This is an exciting event that will give you the opportunity to contribute to shaping the development of a practice model to tackle serious violence, gangs and issues affecting young people across Kirklees.
We have confirmed a number of speakers including Anne Longfield; Children’s Commissioner for England, Mark Burns-Williamson; Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire, Professor Paul Thomas; University of Huddersfield and young people themselves.
Refreshments on arrival at 9.00am for a 9.30am start
