Many businesses and organisations offer their employees an opportunity to volunteer in work time.
This is sometimes known as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Social Value or Employer Supported Volunteering. Volunteering individually or as a team can be a great way to support your local community and give your employees a rewarding and fulfilling experience. Many businesses share their time and skills with a charity through a team away day or team building experience with colleagues.
You can view and register your interest in a Team or Individual Skills Share Volunteering opportunity below. You can also sign up to our quarterly Social Value Newsletter by scrolling to the sign up form at the bottom of this page.
We can also help if you would like to fundraise for a charity/community group, collect donations or share your expertise or resources. Talk to us: email volunteer@tslkirklees.org.uk tel. 01484 519053 / 07776588691

Corporate volunteering and well-being days in nature

- Huddersfield

The aim of EPIKS is to give people the chance to enjoy better access and understanding of how and why to take action on climate change, enjoy thriving green spaces on their doorstep, improving physical and mental health by spending time in nature whilst educating people on different aspects of the environment. We also encourage people to take part in active travel and work towards a more equitable, circular economy.
We offer meaningful conservation experiences for teams within the Huddersfield Riverside Nature Park. Whether you’re looking for a half-day experience or a full team day, We’ll work with you to plan a half day or full day experience that suits your team, your goals, and your needs. There is no previous experience needed, just a willingness to get involved.
We don’t just end the experience when the session finishes, we provide ongoing support to help you showcase your team’s contribution. Following your session, you’ll receive a selection of photos and videos captured on the day, along with prompt and responsive guidance for any internal or external communications you may wish to share.
We will also highlight your contribution through our own channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, as well as in our newsletter. This helps you demonstrate the positive difference your team has made and gives visibility to the work your organisation supports.
Where possible, we’ll provide updates on the ongoing impact of your contribution, helping you see the longer-term results of your team’s efforts.
By sharing this information, your team can celebrate their achievements, your organisation can demonstrate its commitment to CSR and social value, and everyone involved can see the real, tangible impact of their work. It’s all part of making the experience not just a day, but a lasting contribution to the environment and the community.
