Community Growing project shortlisted for social prescribing award
A community growing space at a Huddersfield community centre that helps people connect with nature and each other has been shortlisted for the Award for Best Community-based Organisation in Social Prescribing.
Growing FOCAL, based at Focal Community Centre in Huddersfield was set up in 2021 with the help of funding from TSL Kirklees Supporting Communities. After purchasing the equipment they needed, the group started to bring together the community, helping to improve health and wellbeing throughout the pandemic. Read their case study here.

The Social Prescribing Network Awards take place on 10th March and winners will be announced during an online ceremony.
