Important Updates from TSL Kirklees

Branding Update

Over recent weeks, you may have noticed some changes to our two websites (www.tslkirklees.org.uk and www.volunteeringkirklees.org.uk), social media pages and branding.  This is nothing to worry about and will not affect the free support services that we offer to any organisation in Kirklees in any way.  As a charity, TSL Kirklees has been through huge changes over the last couple of years, and has evolved from a purely membership organisation to something much more, with a focus on representing, supporting and growing the voluntary, community and not-for-profit sector in Kirklees.  We’re now in the process of updating and simplifying our branding to reflect that and make it clear who we are and what we do.

Volunteering Kirklees is now TSL Kirklees Volunteering

In particular, you may have noticed changes to Volunteering Kirklees, which merged with TSL Kirklees a couple of years ago.  From now on it will be know as TSL Kirklees Volunteering, and it will have a brand new logo, as will some our other projects. We are also in the process of merging the two websites and now, when you type in either web address, you’re taken to the same landing page which asks you if you’re an organisation in need of support, an organisation wanting to advertise for volunteers or an individual who wants to volunteer, and you can click a button to take you to the right place for you.

We’re Moving

We have also just moved out of our town centre offices on New Street in Huddersfield, and we will be having new bases in both North and South Kirklees at Yorkshire Children’s Centre’s Jo Cox House in Batley and Brian Jackson House in Huddersfield.  We will let you know more when we’re ready to re-open, however, for the time being our team is continuing to work from home.

And We’re Looking for More Trustees

And finally, we’re also in the process of recruiting for new, dynamic trustees, who are not only willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in with sitting on our board and helping to run the organisation, but who are also willing to represent and advocate for the third sector in Kirklees in discussions with key policy and decision makers.  This may involve sitting on other regular committees and boards.  To find out more, click here.
