Celebrating Carers Rights Day

The event held by West Yorkshire Health & Care Partnership, is for health and care colleagues to learn more about some of the support and resources available for young carers.
Across West Yorkshire over 1500 young carers are registered with young carers services who support them with everyday challenges such as juggling school, friendships, social life and caring for their loved one.
It promises to be an exciting and informative event for all professionals who work with children and young people. It will include the launch of Let’s Cook! a co-produced eCookbook with recipes, cooking skills, narrative and jokes by Hebden Bridge based Verdigris Art. There will also be a return visit and update by Dr K Shroeder on the Young Carers Support app, presentations of some of the available services and young carers sharing their lived experience.
