Following a successful bid from the Home Office, the £3.37m Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) takes a fundamentally different approach to violence reduction.
It works by getting the public sector and communities to act together to help reduce violence with early intervention, prevention, education and partnership working.
The event will bring together specialists from health, police, local government and education sectors to see the current projects and initiatives.
Keynote speakers include John Robins, the Chief Constable of West Yorkshire, and Helen Christmas, from Public Health England.
