Rhubarb Radio Community Focus
Rhubarb Radio is the community radio station for the Wakefield district, Dewsbury and Batley.
As part of our programming we have two ‘slots’ that we invite local third sector organisations to take part in –
Community Focus – a 30 second ‘advert’ to showcase continuing work and appeals. Preferably an organisation would record this themselves (very easily done on a phone) or if needed, we can help. There is absolutely no charge for this service.
Community Noticeboard – an hourly slot where local events/appeals are mentioned. Details should be forwarded to studio@rhubarbradio.co.uk. Again, there is no charge for this service.
We’re based in Wakefield and have been on air for five and a half years, and the station is run entirely by volunteers who give their time to produce local programming 24/7.
We are all about the community we serve; now being the only locally based station in the area.
