Scheme To Help Deliver Sport To Disadvantaged Communities

Charity StreetGames will be partnering with the Communities United Project (CUP) to introduce their new 'Doorstep Sport' Induction Workshop.

The workshop aims to outline the current sporting landscape within disadvantaged communities and demonstrate how Doorstep Sport is different from other methods of sports delivery.

They will also show the wide range of sports and activities that they have. Local clubs and organisations will have the opportunity to learn how they can implement these activities in their communities.

Doorstep Sport Clubs are sports clubs that are designed to suit the needs of disadvantaged youth. They are designed to increase their motivation, and to help them develop lifelong sporting habits.

The event will take place on Monday 9th March 2020 from 5:30 til 8:00pm at Global Diversity Café in Huddersfield.

Community sport project leaders, coaches and volunteers are strongly urged to attend.
