Setting up of a Kirklees Minority Mental Health Provider Forum
In partnership, Kirklees Public Health, Community Links, CHART service and Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group, are in the process of setting up a Minority Mental Health Provider Forum to bring together organisations and individuals to support the development of services provided for and by minority communities in Kirklees.
If you are a support group/service providing valuable mental health and wellbeing support to minority communities living in Kirklees, then we would like to hear from you.
Just fill in the attached form with your details and and send the completed form to Naim.Vali@cgl.org.uk and be part of the Kirklees Minority Mental Health Provider Forum
The forum aims to:
- engage, help and support you and the service you deliver
- listen to concerns and issues that are faced such as barriers to accessing mental health support
- give you a voice to identify gaps in service provision, accessibility and share good practice
- help signpost and support the development of bespoke mental health services for minority communities
- allow open and honest dialogue between providers to explore common challenges and issues in the field of mental health and within the locality
- provide a forum for joint consultation and information exchange with health and representatives regarding issues relating to specialist mental health related support
- ensure the voice of those using services is represented and consistently influences forum and commissioner activity
- Promote prevention and early intervention through demonstrating the value and outcomes of services
It does not matter how big or small the support is that you provide. The only criteria you need to meet to join this group is that you are a:
grassroots service who are working predominately within minority communities…
If your support group provides support to the following groups, then we would like to hear from you.. this is not an exhaustive list (apologies if your group has been missed of the list) but if you are part of these groups and providing support to your communities then please get in touch.
