VCSE Assembly Workshop 16th September
Thursday 16th September at 1:30pm until 3:30pm
As many of you will know, West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) recently appointed its first (Combined Authority Metro) Mayor – Tracy Brabin. Following initial discussions with the new Mayor it is clear that Tracy is a strong supporter and advocate for the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector and wants to see us sector thriving across her patch.
What has also become clear to us at Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) and Community Action Bradford and District (CABAD) that, in order to maximise our impact and influence, we need to have a joined up approach to how we work at West Yorkshire level and our suggestion is through the development of a West Yorkshire VCSE Assembly.
Therefore we would like to invite all VCSE organisation from across West Yorkshire to a discussion on what this assembly should aim to do and how it should function to maximise impact and work in an inclusive way.
It will be held on Zoom and the structure will depend on the number of interested attendees.
