Horton Housing is a not-for-profit organisation. We manage a wide range of different housing, training and support services across Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees and North Yorkshire.

Horton Housing aims to promote social justice and equal access through the provision of a range of personalised housing-related support and training services.

We provide a range of services across Kirklees, Calderdale, Bradford and North Yorkshire for people who are vulnerable, and need support to address and manage needs related to a variety of issues.

HIPS is a floating support service, providing housing related support to help people 16+ to develop their skills they need to live independently and maintain a tenancy. Our team of Intervention Workers visit their clients on a weekly basis, in their own home, or the place they are staying e.g. temporary accommodation.

What will I be doing?

Talk to participants on a one-to-one basis or within a group setting to provide guidance, support and encouragement

The role also includes the need to follow Safeguarding processes if and when needed

1. Supporting people with money management maximising finances, debt management and arrears
2. To help sign post and guide people with services for drug and alcohol misuse and help with local hosing information.
3. Supporting participants to navigate challenges and achieve aspirations and goals and promoting positive relationships.
