About the Organisation
Age UK Calderdale & Kirklees is a registered charity that helps older people ‘love later life’. Our aim is to improve the quality of life of older people by providing a variety of practical support services across Calderdale and Kirklees.
Role Description
Each Befriender will be matched with an older person who is experiencing social isolation or loneliness.
Your role will be to offer support, social contact and conversation in order to improve their confidence
and wellbeing. Perhaps introducing them to groups and activities, or maybe just enjoying a coffee and a
chat.
Full training provided.
Flexible hours, minimum of one hour per week.
