About the Organisation

Dial Wood RDA is a centre for disabled people to enjoy carriage driving, riding therapy, pony therapy and contact with ponies. We are run entirely run by volunteers. Our ponies are especially selected and need to be looked after. Our people are trained to give our clients the best opportunity to enhance their well being through sport and fun. Our latest venture is Tea with a Pony for people with dementia and their carers.

Role Description

We are looking for people who want to achieve their Duke of Edinburgh Volunteering or Skill to join us on Saturday or Sunday mornings to help us with our riding or carriage driving sessions and pony care activities while earning their D of E or YELA hours.

We can also recommend that you do your Young Equestrian Leader's Award at the same time or independently.

We can help you achieve bronze, silver or gold levels in both awards.

Full training is given.

This can be done during the week in school/college holidays as well.
