About the Organisation

River Holme Connections is a local environmental charity with an aim to improve the River Holme catchment for the benefit of people and wildlife. By connecting people, business and wildlife, we can make it an even better place to live, work and experience.

Role Description

Is your organisation looking for team volunteering opportunities (including Corporate Social Responsibility) ?

We can offer a range of practical conservation tasks such as invasive plant control (Himalayan balsam bashing), wildflower meadow enhancement and management, tree planting and more!

Our tree planting programme takes place between December and March - This is now full for 2025/2026.

In the Spring there will be lots of opportunities for balsam bashing and more so do get in touch with Kayleigh our River Ranger - kayleigh@riverholmeconnections.org

As well as increasing motivation and building teamwork skills, you can be confident that your day with us is making a real difference to the local communities in which your colleagues and their families live. We are based in Honley, but we run volunteering activities right along the River Holme from Holme village through to Lockwood in Huddersfield.
