Kirklees Youth Alliance CIO are an infrastructure charity operating within the Youth Sector.

Kirklees Youth Alliance is seeking volunteers aged 16+ to help out at its junior and senior youth clubs in Holmfirth on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings (term-time only). The youth club will be delivering a range of activities including life skills, arts & crafts, fitness & wellbeing, cooking, games all led by what the young people want to do and providing a space for young people to chill with their friends.

The two youth clubs are:

• Phoenix Senior Youth Club for 13+ : Tues - 6:30pm-8pm (Phoenix Community Centre, Dunford Road, Holmfirth)
• Café 100 project for young people aged 11-17 with additional needs (LGBTQ+ friendly)– Wed & Thurs 4.30pm – 6.30pm

The role will typically involve the following tasks:

• Helping to set up activities
• Engaging with young people (chatting, being a supportive adult, positive role model)
• Cooking snacks
• Art & craft activities
• Opportunities to lead on a project or one -off session
