- Wednesday Daytime
The aim of our organisation is to give people the chance to enjoy better access and understanding of how and why to take action on climate change, enjoy thriving green spaces on their doorstep, improving physical and mental health by spending time in nature whilst educating people on
different aspects of the environment. We also encourage people to take part in active travel andwork towards a more equitable, circular economy.
Our regular weekly work parties on Wednesday mornings (10am-1pm) are open to adults of all ages – you’ll experience a variety of tasks, helping to spruce up riverside paths and create healthier habitats for nature. During these three hour sessions our volunteers help keep paths open, gateways attractive and manage wildlife areas. You’ll likely see a bit of wildlife (sometimes a lot!), stop mid-way through the session for a hot drink and a snack and go away with a real sense of achievement. We will provide tools, equipment and refreshments! All you need to bring are old clothes and stout footwear. EPIKS will reimburse public transport travel costs if this is a limiting factor.
