The Sir George Martin Trust is an independent grant maker which aims to improve the well-being of economically and socially disadvantaged people in West Yorkshire by giving grants to locally-based, registered charities and churches who support their local community.
Please note that the Sir George Martin Trust:
- only support West Yorkshire-based registered charities with a Charity Commission number, CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) or church working in economically disadvantaged areas
- does not support CICs or other community groups
- deliver support and/or activities which benefit economically and socially disadvantaged people living in West Yorkshire
- have less than a £1 million income (based on their last financial year’s accounts)
- are committed to ensuring a safe culture for its staff, volunteers and beneficiaries
- gives out flexible, one-off grants for running, capital and project costs, ranging from £1,000 – £5,000
- focus is supporting West Yorkshire communities to live happier, healthier lives.
In this 60-minute session, you will learn about:
- the Trust’s grant programme;
- examples of what the Trust likes to fund, their process, how to make your application as strong as possible for the Trust and other funders; and
- have the chance to ask any questions.
The session will be delivered by Carla Marshall who is the Trust Manager at the Sir George Martin Trust.
