CABWI Learning & Development Fund NEET Young People and Adults
- Overview: Grants will be available for registered charities providing support that enables people to enter the labour market or gain additional skills to further develop their career.
- Funding Body: CABWI Awarding Body (for water and utilities industries).
- Maximum Grant: £40,000.
- Opens: 5 January
- Expression of Interest Deadline: 26 January 2026
- Purpose of the Fund: Supports registered charities helping people:
- Enter the labour market.
- Gain skills to develop their careers.
- Overcome barriers to employment.
- Eligibility:
- Charities with income £266,666–£1 million: can apply for up to £40,000.
- Charities with income below £266,666: can apply for up to 15% of previous year’s turnover.
- Must work with young people and adults (16+) who are NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training).
- Priority given to smaller organisations.
- Funding Priorities:
- Supporting individuals with complex barriers to employment (e.g. ex-offenders, ex-service personnel).
- Helping NEET individuals or those at risk of becoming NEET.
- Enhancing life skills, especially in water, utilities, and construction sectors.
- Encouraging innovative approaches to employment and training challenges.
