CABWI Learning & Development Fund NEET Young People and Adults

  • Overview: Grants will be available for registered charities providing support that enables people to enter the labour market or gain additional skills to further develop their career.
  • Funding Body: CABWI Awarding Body (for water and utilities industries).
  • Maximum Grant: £40,000.
  • Opens: 5 January
  • Expression of Interest Deadline: 26 January 2026
  • Purpose of the Fund: Supports registered charities helping people:
    • Enter the labour market.
    • Gain skills to develop their careers.
    • Overcome barriers to employment.
  • Eligibility:
    • Charities with income £266,666–£1 million: can apply for up to £40,000.
    • Charities with income below £266,666: can apply for up to 15% of previous year’s turnover.
    • Must work with young people and adults (16+) who are NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training).
    • Priority given to smaller organisations.
  • Funding Priorities:
    • Supporting individuals with complex barriers to employment (e.g. ex-offenders, ex-service personnel).
    • Helping NEET individuals or those at risk of becoming NEET.
    • Enhancing life skills, especially in water, utilities, and construction sectors.
    • Encouraging innovative approaches to employment and training challenges.
