Common Ground Award for Community Cohesion and Resilience
- Overview: From 13 October Capital grants of up to £10,000 from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) will be made available for voluntary, community and social enterprise sector organisations whose services are bringing people together from different backgrounds to support the cost of constructing or renovating facilities, or the purchasing of equipment to deliver services.

- Support capital projects that promote bridging social capital—bringing people together from different backgrounds.
- Eligible costs include construction, renovation, expansion, and equipment purchases (e.g., laptops, furniture).

Funding for Grassroots Groups to Address Racial and Social Injustices
- Overview: The Roots Fund from Edge Fund is offering grants of up to £1,000 to support grassroots communities and campaign groups working to create long-term change in society by addressing the causes of injustice and inequality.
- Priority Areas
- Combatting:
- Islamophobia
- Afriphobia
- Racial injustice
- Legacies of British colonialism
- Eligibility
- Grassroots groups with annual income under £5,000.
- Must be community-led and focused on long-term systemic change.
- Groups do not need to be formally registered.
- Restrictions: Funding is not available for:
- Religious organisations with religious goals.
- Traditional charity work (e.g., health, education, social inclusion).
- Groups with paid staff or mainstream funding.
- Political parties or commercial ventures.
- Groups formed within six months of applying.
- Application window: 15 October – 2 November 2025
