Grocers’ Charity Grant
Summary: One-off grants are available to small UK registered charities (turnover less than £500k) for work in the specific areas of relief of hardship; children and young people; disability and inclusion; the elderly; health; military; environment and conservation; the arts; and heritage. Health/medical charities with income up to £15 million can also apply.

Maximum award: Typically, up to £5,000 (larger awards only for exceptional projects)
Total annual fund: Approximately £1 million

Priority Funding Themes:

- Relief of hardship – e.g. homelessness prevention, domestic abuse support, work in areas of high deprivation
- Children & young people (0–25) – wellbeing, peer support, skills and empowerment
- Older people – reducing loneliness, improving daily living and social inclusion
- Disability & inclusion – tackling barriers, frontline support
- Health – ethical medical research, equipment, mental health and wellbeing support
- Military – support for serving and ex-service personnel and families
- Arts – access, skills development, inclusion of marginalised groups
- Heritage – conservation of historic buildings (excluding places of worship) and objects
- Environment & conservation – habitat protection, biodiversity, climate change and pollution initiatives
