Community Builders Fund
The Community Builders Fund, managed by Social Investment Business (SIB), offers loans ranging from £100,000 to £1.5 million to UK charities and social enterprises based in England, Wales, and Scotland. The fund is supported by the Government's Growth Guarantee Scheme.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for a loan, organizations must:

Be legally constituted and registered as a charity or social enterprise.

Be based in England, Wales, or Scotland.

Primarily aim to improve people's lives or the environment they live in.

Have been operating for at least two years.

Have a minimum turnover of £400,000 in the last financial year (or £200,000 if based in Scotland or Wales).

Not be subject to any insolvency proceedings (e.g., winding-up, administration, insolvency, bankruptcy).
Loan Details:

Amount: £100,000 to £1.5 million.

Repayment Term: 1 to 6 years

Interest Rate: 7.9% per annum fixed

Arrangement Fee: 3% on loans under £500,000; 2.5% on loans of £500,000 or greater.

Repayment Options: Optional capital repayment holiday of up to 12 months; no early pre-payment fees

Security: May be required, depending on the loan assessment.
Organisations based in Wales and Scotland can apply for loans starting from £50,000.
