Dark Woods Coffee: Community Small Grants Programme
The Community Small Grants Programme has been re-launched and expanded to cover all areas of Kirklees.
In 2024, a total of £10,000 was distributed among 21 community groups and organisations. The programme continues in 2025, inviting grassroots groups within Kirklees to apply for funding.
The grants, ranging from £100 to £500, are available to charities, not-for-profits, and community groups working for the benefit of the local community and environment. Funding is allocated throughout the year to ensure support across different seasons.
The application process has been designed to be as straightforward and accessible as possible. Applicants are encouraged to review the Eligibility Criteria and Terms & Conditions before submitting their forms.
Guidance notes and FAQs are available to assist applicants. Queries should be directed via email to community@darkwoodscoffee.co.uk.
The programme aims to support local groups that may have difficulty securing other sources of funding and are making a meaningful impact on the community or environment.
There are no deadlines. They review applications at the end of April, August and November.
