FCC Community Action Fund
Not-for-profit organisations with amenity projects sited within 10 miles of an eligible FCC Environment waste facility can apply for funding under Object D/DA of the Landfill Communities Fund. The following organisations may apply for grants of between £2,000 and £100,000:
- Registered charities which operate a community facility.
- Churches or Parochial Church Councils.
- Parish or Town Councils or Management Committees or User Associations acting on behalf of Parish or Town Councils.
- Local Authorities.
- CASC Registered Sports Clubs.
The funding can be used for projects with a maximum cost of £500,000 which involve provision, maintenance or improvement of public amenities. All project sites must be open and accessible for the general public without any limit or restrictions on use (or with reasonable access costs) in place. Applications will only be accepted for projects based within 10 miles of eligible FCC Environment waste facilities across England and based at the following:
- Village halls and community centres.
- Public play areas.
- Publicly available Multi use games areas, skate parks and BMX tracks.
- Sport and recreation grounds including pavilions and clubhouses with full public access.
- Churches – community spaces only.
- Nature reserves.
- Public gardens, parks, country parks and woodlands with at least dawn to dusk access.
- Museums
Work must be situated at a single amenity/site only. Please note all applicants need to secure a contributing third-party payment that is to be paid to the landfill operator.
