Football Foundation - Facilities Grants
Background:
The Football Foundation is a partnership charity formed by the Premier League, the Football Association, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, and Sport England.
Objectives:
Enhance the grassroots football experience by supporting projects ranging from the purchase of goalposts to improving changing pavilions.
Funding Details:
Grants are available for capital items or to refurbish/improve existing community football facilities in England.
Maximum grant size is generally up to £25,000.
Match funding is required, with the percentage depending on the type of investment.
Eligibility:
Applications accepted from not-for-profit football clubs, voluntary groups, local authorities, county football associations, professional club community organisations, educational establishments providing facilities for the community, registered charities, not-for-profit companies, community interest companies (CICs), or other social enterprises.
Certain entities are not eligible, including individuals, sole traders, national governing bodies, commercial/for-profit entities, and clubs within specific leagues.
Eligible Expenditure:
Funding is intended for smaller capital projects and the maintenance/improvement of facilities, such as goalposts, storage containers, portable floodlights, minor works to changing rooms, 3G pitch maintenance machinery, improvements to grass pitch playing surfaces, fencing, and small-sided facility improvement.
