John Ellerman Foundation
- Overview: The Foundation has published its new five-year strategy (2025 – 2030) which focuses on four areas including tackling the climate crisis and advancing equity and justice for marginalised communities. Grants are for core costs for charitable, changemaking organisations in the UK to support the wellbeing of people, society, and the natural world.
- Objectives
- Tackling Climate Crisis: Mitigating and adapting to climate impacts, reducing pollution, and protecting nature.
- Building Trust and Connection: Reducing societal polarization and increasing political participation.
- Economic Models: Promoting systems that support people and the planet, reducing wealth inequalities.
- Advancing Equity and Justice: Supporting marginalized communities.
- Organisations will need to demonstrate ‘that intrinsic to their approach’ they are:
- Changemaking organisations that understand their role within existing and/or new systems and have a clear strategy for how and why they intend to make change.
- Committed to advancing justice through the active involvement of individuals and communities with personal or direct experience of the issues.
- Value: Up to £180,000 over a maximum of five years.
