Macmillan Support Grant

A Macmillan Support Grant is a one-off payment of up to £15,000 that directly benefits groups of people living with cancer.

Who can apply?
▪ Cancer self-help and support groups
▪ Macmillan professionals
▪ Voluntary, third-sector, and community groups
▪ Partner organisations

Examples of what they fund:
▪ Room hire and refreshments
▪ Cancer awareness events
▪ Group outings and celebrations
▪ Volunteer expenses
▪ Information and signposting
▪ Community projects
▪ Education sessions for people living with cancer
▪ IT equipment (restrictions apply)
▪ Physical activity programmes (e.g. prehabilitation, rehabilitation and wellbeing support)

Terms and Conditions -

▪ An applicant can have only one Support Grant in a 12-month period.
▪ The funding period of any previous Support Grants must have ended before submitting a
new application.
▪ If the applicant has received a Support Grant before, they must complete an evaluation form
before reapplying for another grant.
▪ Grants are one-off payments and cannot fund repeat activities.

To apply for a Support Grant, please follow these steps:
1. Check eligibility: Ensure you meet the criteria for a Support Grant. You can take our simple eligibility quiz on our website.
2. Contact Macmillan: Get in touch with your Macmillan representative to discuss your proposal further and request an application form. If you are unsure who your Macmillan representative is, please get in touch with ServiceOpsGrants@macmillan.org.uk
3. Complete your application: Once received, complete all sections of the application and submit to Macmillan for review.
4. Review and approval: Macmillan will review your application and notify you of the outcome.
5. Signing of the contract: If your application has been successful, you will be sent a contact to review and sign via DocuSign.
