Solidarity Fund by the National Lottery Community Fund
· Overview:
A major new fund is offering £1 million to £5 million for organisations in England tackling the root causes of inequality – including poverty, disadvantage, and discrimination. The aim is to support long-term, community-led work that makes lasting, systemic change. Organisations must be led by or deeply accountable to people with lived experience of the issues being addressed. Funding can be used over 5 to 10 years.

Projects must work on long-term solutions to inequality, such as:

Changing systems and structures to be fairer

Supporting communities to build power

Creating and using learning from lived experience

Working in solidarity across different issues and communities
· Target Groups:
People facing systemic inequality, including those with lived experience of:

Poverty

Disadvantage

Discrimination (e.g. racial injustice, ableism, homophobia, etc.)
· Eligibility:

Voluntary and community organisations based in England

Work must be clearly led by or accountable to people affected by the issues

You do not need to be long-established, but must show capacity for long-term, meaningful change

Your proposal should build on existing knowledge, relationships or experience
· Funding Size:
£1 million to £5 million, over 5 to 10 years
