Parent Sanctuary is a welcoming and inclusive organisation dedicated to supporting families. We aim to empower parents, carers, and guardians to embrace parenthood with confidence, providing practical resources, advice, and opportunities to connect with others. From babywearing support to outdoor accessibility and self-care guidance, we’re here to help every step of the way.

Our Sling Library helps parents discover safe and comfortable ways to carry their little ones using baby slings and carriers. We provide hands-on guidance and support, ensuring parents feel confident and secure in their babywearing journey. Sessions are run fortnightly during term time in Penistone and Holmfirth by our Babywearing Consultant, Rachel, who offers expert advice in a friendly drop-in setting.

The Role

As a Sling Library Support Assistant, you will:

• Meet and greet attendees, helping everyone feel welcome.
• Provide light administrative support during sessions.
• Assist with packing away equipment at the end of the session.

No previous experience or knowledge of babywearing is required – we’ll provide all the guidance you need!

Time Commitment

• Flexible options: Join us for 2 hours once a month or for all sessions  (during term time).

What We’re Looking For

• A friendly and helpful attitude.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check (we’ll cover the cost).
