Volunteers' Week 2023: Apply for funding to thank your volunteers

National Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June) is an annual event to recognise the contribution that millions of people make across the UK through volunteering. It is an opportunity for us to formally recognise and say ‘thank you’ to volunteers in Kirklees. TSL Kirklees want to help organisations in Kirklees show their appreciation and celebrate the important role of Volunteers.
Volunteer-run projects or groups in Kirklees (without paid staff) and organisations with fewer than 10 paid staff can apply for up to £100 to pay for an activity, event or item to say thank you to their volunteers and recognise their invaluable work. Each group will also receive a pack of thank you cards to personalise and give out. The money can be spent on anything from gifts to vouchers, goodie bags to cakes or afternoon tea deliveries or an event or get-together.
As part of your application please submit a photo of a volunteer/s and a short quote from them about their volunteer experience. Please ensure you have the volunteers consent for this to be shared on our website and social media.
How to Apply
You can apply by clicking the button below to download the application form, giving us a few basic details about your group and your volunteers, and sending it back to volunteer@tslkirklees.org.uk
We aim to let everyone know by Friday 12th May if their application has been successful. We will prioritise volunteer-run groups first (with no paid staff), followed by organisations with fewer than 10 paid staff.
The deadline for applications is Friday 5th May 2023.
