Community groups across Kirklees are being invited to apply for funding to recognise and celebrate their volunteers as part of Volunteers’ Week 2026.

The Volunteers’ Week Thank You Fund, launched by TSL Kirklees, offers volunteer-led organisations (with no paid staff), the opportunity to apply for up to £150 to support activities that show appreciation for the time and dedication their volunteers give throughout the year.

Volunteers’ Week, taking place from 1st to 7th June 2026, is a national celebration recognising the invaluable contribution volunteers make to communities. The fund aims to help local groups mark the occasion in a meaningful way—whether through hosting a small event, providing refreshments, or organising a simple thank-you gesture.

Volunteer-run groups based in Kirklees are encouraged to apply, with a quick and easy online application process available. The funding is designed to be flexible, allowing organisations to choose how best to celebrate their volunteers.

Applications are now open, and groups are encouraged to apply early.
