West Yorkshire Community Leadership Programme RECRUITing 2ND COHORT
The West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Partnership (VRP) is set to begin its second Community Leadership Programme in September 2024. This three-month initiative aims to develop a network of community leaders across the region.
Open to anyone aged 18+, the programme encourages applications from those working with young people and grassroots organisations. Recognised by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), it offers participants the chance to refine their leadership skills and increase their community impact.
The curriculum combines face-to-face and online sessions on Wednesday evenings, supplemented by one-on-one coaching. Graduates receive an ILM digital credential and can join the West Yorkshire Leaders Network.
This programme is a key part of the VRP’s strategy to reduce violence and improve community safety. By investing in local leadership, the partnership aims to effect long-term, sustainable change within communities.
The VRP believes that equipping integral community members with enhanced skills is crucial for improving safety and reducing violence.
